I honestly do not know much about you, but after reading @JaneMayerNYer Jane Mayer’s New Yorker article and hearing news stories about you here and there, I feel that is all I need to know at the moment. Despite everything that I have ever heard or read about you (98% was negative) it occurred to me when reading her article, that the re-branding efforts you have recently embarked on may be prompted by the following question;
Legacy – How will history remember the Koch brothers?
(Now I could be 100% wrong, but either way society will be better off)
Up to this point in time it is my impression that society will forget you as quickly as we forgot the CEO of Enron, CEO of Arthur Andersen, Bear Stearns, AIG, Lehman Brothers, (whoever they were). However ,it my be that you will be remembered with greater frequency due to the environmental problems you helped create (not sure that you would like that). So I offer you two suggestions that I believe will fundamentally better society and positively affect your legacy.
- Help President Obama @POTUS to close Guantanamo Bay detention facility immediately
if you are genuinely interested in fairness, well-being and criminal justice, I would have assumed that you would consider this a priority
2. Support GUN CONTROL, is it not clear enough that many people are not responsible enough to own a gun? As I write this letter yet another unnecessary tragedy.
I cannot speak for society but if you were to even try to accomplish the aforementioned tasks I would always remember who you were and what you did emphasizing the good that actually meant something. As it stands now… I will forget you soon after the Republican Party (likely) gets walloped at the 2016 polls.
Sincerely,
Rene Dansereau
